Studios L5, K5, and L6
For all classes, we use three studios which are designated L5, K5 and L6.
Our main studio, L5 is equipped with a state of the art dance floor and
sound system. The beautiful Bolivian Cherry hardwood floor was installed
in 2003, and it is fully floating and sprung to move with the dancers. Two
walls of full length mirrors, barres, open air garage door, evaporative
coolers, fans, and a high ceiling infused with generous natural light provide
the premier dance environment. An observation room with windows allows for
viewing classes in L5. There are also some chairs in the L5 waiting area.
Parents and visitors with young children, or those who wish to talk on the
phone or visit are encouraged to take advantage of the observation room.
L6 is equipped with a multi-use dance marley floor which covers a sprung
Rosco dance floor. Two walls of mirrors and barres complete the space. Chairs
are located in the studio for visitors.
K5 is also equipped with a sprung floating floor, but is covered with a
hard marley vinyl surface. Three walls of mirrors, state of the art sound,
and dance barres complete our space. |
Dancers may make up any missed classes due to illness or holiday.
Make up classes should be taken as soon as possible, and they may not
be used in lieu of paying tuition. Any appropriate or similar class
may be taken without prior arrangements.
Payments
Cash or checks are accepted, payable to Dance Connection. Online payments
through bank bill pay systems are very popular among our families, and
may be set up automatically. Please discontinue all automatic payments
at the end of May 2009.
Refunds
Registration fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued if a class
is closed or cancelled by Dance Connection. Tuition is non-refundable,
and any refund issues are at the sole discretion of Dance Connection.
Cancellations
A two week written notice is required to drop a class. Tuition is due
for this two week period which begins at the date of the email, post
mark or studio delivery receipt date. During this two week notice,
tuition will not be refunded, and will be considered at the single
class or pro-rate fees. If the two week notice is given at the end
of the month, the two week notice will serve as the start date for
a billing at the single class rate for a two week period into the next
month. Therefore, tuition liability is valid for a two week period
after a drop notice is received at the single class rate.
Drop Notice
The Dance Connection Drop Notice must be completed in order to drop
a class. The date the notice is postmarked or delivered to our studio
is the start of the two week notification period during which time
tuition is liable. If the monthly tuition for this two week period
has not been paid, it will be billed at the single class rate for these
two weeks. All payments must be up to date before the account is closed,
and late fees will apply for unpaid balances. The Drop Notice must
be completed to discontinue any class, even if another is added. [download

Policy
• All classes operate on an ongoing basis, unless otherwise noted.
Classes will run through 6/5/09, and students are automatically registered
for their class(es) until June 5th , 2009.
• Tuition is due and payable the first week of the month, before the
10th. After the 10th of each month, unpaid tuition will increase $5.00
plus one dollar per day (i.e. $5.00 on the 11th, $6 on the 12th….). Tuition
will not be adjusted due to absence or vacation.
• Dancers may make up any missed classes due to illness or holiday, and
are encouraged to do so to avoid falling behind. Make up classes should
be taken as soon as possible, and they may not be used in lieu of paying
tuition. Any appropriate or similar class may be taken without prior
arrangements.
• A two week written notice via completion of the Dance Connection
Class Drop Notice is required to drop a class in order to avoid tuition
liability. This must be completed anytime your original registration
changes for any reason other than our recommended move to a higher level.
Tuition is due during this two week notification period at the single
class rate if the monthly tuition has not yet been paid.
• A non-refundable registration fee is payable at the time of registration.
Registration may be brought to the studio or mailed to Dance Connection
at 4000 Middlefield Road, L5 Palo Alto, CA 94303.
• All students and parents must read the Classroom Etiquette and Attire
guidelines, and all family observers must read the Notice to Dance Class
Observers. We have a policy of keeping all classes open to observers,
however that policy is at the discretion of the instructor and director.
Please read these important guidelines so we can have the maximum enjoyment
from each dance class for children, teachers, and parents.
• Food or drinks are not allowed in our studios at all---the exception
is water. We strongly encourage dancers to bring a water bottle to class,
particularly in warmer weather.
• Our schedule is subject to change without notice. Please check the
website for the most current schedule.
• Substitute teachers will replace a regular teacher when necessary.
• Late pick-ups, particularly for the last class before a closing will
result in extra charges of $1 per minute. We will not leave a child un-attended,
so the late fee will go to the teacher who is attending to your
child. Please be prompt with pick-ups, and also in getting your children
to class on time.
• Please check the website for current events and additional information
including performances and costume ordering for all graded ballet students
for The Sleeping Beauty Ballet.
• All level placements are determined by the instructors, and class participation
is at the discretion of the instructor. Please note the “Code Abbreviations” listed
on the schedule for class requirements.
• Please check the DC website regularly at www.danceconnectionpaloalto.com
for News and Information. |
